Job Summary

Aptive is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer and DEVOPS specialist with demonstrated experience providing support and technical advice during conceptualization, development, and implementation phases to transform requirements to working solutions in support of a concentrated effort at a large Federal Agency.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Must be able to serve as the infrastructure engineer on a high-performing DevSecOps team.
  • Consulting with client stakeholders on strategies for deployment of new cloud technology implementations, monitoring and optimization of existing equipment.
  • Delivering end-to-end infrastructure management solutions in a cloud environment
  • Improving infrastructure operations through better use of monitoring, cloud coding and scripting best practices
  • Work closely with other teams understanding the current CI/CD setup in place and contribute to innovation of the existing processes in place.
  • Implementing cloud governance, build, deployment and monitoring standards for the clients

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 Year’ experience working in IT
  • Experience working in fast paced Agile Environment and familiarity with tools like Rally, JIRA, Confluence.
  • 3-5 years of experience with any of the following technologies: AWS, VMWare, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform
  • Must be proficient with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripting tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Puppet, Docker or Chef
  • Must have working knowledge of CI/CD processes, tools, and frameworks.
  • Experience building Services (SOAP and REST) and applications using Java or other technologies.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Desired Qualifications

  • Strategic thinker with a drive to get all types of work done and a high attention to details.
  • Certifications in AWS, Azure, or both is desired.
  • Excellent ability to communicate across all mediums and settings, superior consulting abilities.
