Job Summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VHA, requires professional support services to assist the Deputy Under Secretary of Health (DUSH)—who is accountable for specific health care programs enabling and supporting virtually every aspect of patient care provided to Veterans-- with the development, administration, and management of various emerging initiatives, some of which are legislatively mandated. Aptive serves as the Veterans Health Administration’s (VHA) strategic partner to transform the country’s largest and most complex organizations – with 1,600 care sites across 50 states and a staff of approximately 300,000 employees caring for over 6 million Veterans – into a clinically led, outcome-focused, and technology-enabled organization.

 

Aptive is seeking Management Consultants to support VHA in developing an improved organization and implementing critical initiatives. This includes measuring success, outcomes, and the improvement of programs. To assist OHT in managing multiple concurrent transformation initiatives, the Management Consultant will plan and organize work, prioritize projects, and deliver and monitor business results. Regular client interaction, including potentially daily scrum meetings, facilitate scheduling of activities and rebalancing resources. Aptive Management Consultants will exhibit a well-recognized ability to rapidly engage and leverage the knowledge of VHA program operations and the Administration’s previously established goals and objectives to support a range of high-profile initiatives.

  • Support client directors/managers with high-level, cross-functional focus and assistance.
  • Delivery of high quality, senior executive-level deliverables.
  • Evaluate analytical results and develop new and adapted analytical techniques.
  • Develop solutions which address a range of business needs including portals, workflow, forms, collaboration sites, document management utilizing tools that include Microsoft 365, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint
  • Conduct 365 Platform administration tasks, migrations, and other M365 technical tasks within the M365 environment.
  • Make visually pleasing low code/no code solutions and construct rich data visualizations using the Microsoft Power Platform
  • Analyze data to determine appropriate metrics values for the designated project
  • Develop briefing materials and assist with client meetings
  • Coordinate and cross collaborate with other internal workstreams and external contracting teams to support the development of success metrics

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree in related field
  • 3 years of of experience developing and supporting solutions which address a range of business needs including portals, workflow, forms, collaboration sites, document management, or business reports utilizing tools that include Microsoft 365, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint
  • Ability to leverage database systems including data warehouses, data marts, and models needed for business, financial, and operational analysis and/or reporting.
  • Experience performing system administration tasks, migrations, and other M365 technical tasks within the M365 environment.
  • Experience with data and data analysis (including refining data in excel, data collection, and data interpretation)
  • Experience developing highly effective materials and work products (PPT decks, Power BI dashboards, detailed reports, etc.)
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proactive in asking questions to identify ways to improve client delivery
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills to support business writing, professional correspondence, and meeting facilitation with diverse group of clients
