Job Summary

Aptive is seeking a Project Management support with a minimum of four years of demonstrated experience providing high-quality project management to federal clients. The Project Management support will be responsible for applying critical and analytical thinking skills to translate complex information into easy-to-digest requirements with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

This position requires strong client interaction skills and a demonstrated ability to work with various stakeholders across multiple work streams. Experience leading and managing projects in alignment with client goals, mitigating risks and facilitating meetings/requirements gathering is highly sought after in this role. The successful candidate will be highly organized, systematic and proactive in managing quality and exceeding client expectations within a fast-paced environment. You will be able to manage multiple work streams simultaneously, while actively engaging with various levels of stakeholders.

 

This associate-level, full-time position is Remote. (Please note: this position is fully telework until social distancing restrictions due to COVID-19 are lifted for the DC-metro region.)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead, plan, manage, execute and close out projects in support of the client’s mission.
  • Scope and estimate projects, execute a project plan and monitor performance to ensure project tasks are completed on time, on budget and within scope.
  • Create project documentation such as white papers, reports, staffing/hiring, management and policy directives.
  • Create reports, metrics and tracking mechanisms and provide analysis to relevant stakeholders.
  • Track program level risks, issues, scope and timing changes.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings and events, including developing detailed agendas, capturing meeting minutes, defining meeting outcomes and tracking action items.
  • Coordinate and consolidate status report information on a weekly & monthly time frame.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 to 6 years of program/project management experience with federal clients.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Slack, Mural, Adobe Pro, Visio.
  • Ability to apply time management skills and attention to detail when producing client work.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance. 
  • Legal authorization to work in the US.

  • Experience using and managing documentation and materials in SharePoint.

  • Capable self-starter with a drive to get all types of work done and high attention to detail. 
  • Ability to interact and engage with Executive-level stakeholders.
