Job Summary

Aptive is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to support enterprise human capital program strategy and support services within the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
 
The HR Specialist will support the effective and efficient deployment of HR programs and strategy for components within OPM, enabling the components to build and sustain high performing organizations. As a self-starter, the candidate would be able to prioritize competing tasks efficiently, be able to meet deadlines and identify and recommend process improvements for OPM, advise on HR industry best practices and be able to handle sensitive and/or confidential topics.
 
This position is a full-time, contingent hire.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support research and recommendations on tools and processes that can optimize HR service delivery.
  • Analyze OPM’s HR strategic priorities and support the evaluation of HR program performance and identify opportunities for improvement to achieve OPM’s desired goals.
  • Support the implementation of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) priorities across OPM.
  • Provide recommendations and guidance based on industry best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of HR or related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, finance, humanities or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
  • Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Solid computer literacy with capability in email, MS Office and related HRIS.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum of an active Secret Clearance or Tier 4 Public Trust
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

  • Experience working in government contracting.
  • Strategic thinker with a drive to achieve goals and a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to communicate across all mediums (email, verbal, presentation) and with senior stakeholders.
