Job Summary

Aptive is seeking a Leadership Coach to support enterprise human capital program strategy and support services within the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).

 

This position is a full-time, contingent hire.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provides coaching and mentoring services to coach OPM leadership and managers on organizational development, leadership principles and practices and succession planning.
  • Guides clients in the appropriate application of tools and techniques to assist OPM leadership in more effectively and efficiently completing high profile projects, managing programs, and improving the culture of their teams.
  • Interacts with government managers and senior executives.
  • Applies proven approaches to assessing individual managers’ and leaders’ strengths and weaknesses, as well as trends requiring attention across an organization.
  • Develops personalized development plans for managers and leaders to address weaknesses and build on strengths.
  • Conducts personalized one-on-one coaching sessions.
  • Facilitates development exercises for leadership or management teams.
  • Recommends resources to support long term development goals.
  • Administers personnel assessments (360 reviews, Meyers-Briggs, etc.).
  • Provides thought leadership to teams and facilitates development of creative solutions to customer business problems.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of leadership development/coaching/mentoring experience.
  • Master’s degree.
  • ICF-certified.
  • Minimum of an active Secret Clearance or Tier 4 Public Trust
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning, organizational designs, change management, performance management and training.
  • Demonstrated experience working in the human resources industry or with human resources programs.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology.
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a drive to achieve goals and a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent ability to communicate across all mediums and settings; superior consulting abilities.
