Job Summary

Aptive is seeking a Communications Engagement Manager with a strong background in strategic communications to support enterprise human capital program strategy and support services within the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).


This role will support the development of customer outreach strategies and communication materials for change management initiatives across the organization’s human resource programs. This position requires a strategic mindset and a clear understanding of writing and research best practices. The successful candidate will have strong customer interaction skills, proactivity and a demonstrated ability to work with various, senior level stakeholders across multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.

 

This position is a full-time, contingent hire.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the creation of engagement strategies and desired deliverables to facilitate change management.
  • Create deliverables in alignment with the agreed upon engagement strategy.
  • Assess the effectiveness of change management engagement campaigns and methods to make recommendations to improve messaging effectiveness.
  • Support meetings with the customer to define concepts, solicit feedback, and identify next steps.
  • Conduct quality assurance monitoring and deliverable reviews to help ensure conformance to defined project requirements.
  • Build and foster relationships with the customer and internal team members.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in communications and outreach. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or business administration.
  • Experience supporting communications and stakeholder engagement projects.
  • Ability to productively collaborate with a wide range of personality types while meeting assignment demands.
  • Confidence and poise to work closely with and provide strategic recommendations to senior executives.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Minimum of an active Secret Clearance or Tier 4 Public Trust
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. 

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large human resources organizations or government agencies. 
  • Experience supporting change management initiatives.
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
  • Capable self-starter with a drive to achieve goals and a high attention to detail.
