Job Summary

Aptive is seeking a Senior Strategic Engagement Manager with a strong background in strategic communications to support enterprise human capital program strategy and support services within the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).

 

This individual will support change management activities through tasks such as communications associated with major initiatives, organizational transformation, and culture change. This position requires a strategic mindset and a clear understanding of writing and research best practices. The successful candidate will have strong customer interaction skills, proactivity and a demonstrated ability to work with various, senior level stakeholders across multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.

 

This position is a full-time, contingent hire.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with the customer to define a customer engagement strategy and manage implementation of the strategy.
  • Responsible for exhibiting knowledge of the customer’s strategic intent and opportunities.
  • Assess the effectiveness of engagement campaigns and methods to make recommendations for future phases of the strategy to improve messaging effectiveness.
  • Facilitate meetings with the customer to solicit feedback, identify focus areas and define support priorities and next steps.
  • Conduct quality assurance monitoring and deliverable reviews to help ensure conformance to defined project requirements.
  • Lead the creation of program communications using multimedia tools, such as Emma, Survey Monkey, Mediawiki, Adobe, Webex, Camtasia or Snagit.
  • Build and foster relationships with the customer and internal team members.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in communications and outreach. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or business administration.
  • Experience managing and directing communications and stakeholder engagement projects.
  • Ability to productively collaborate with a wide range of personality types while meeting assignment demands.
  • Experience with content management, resource management, and quality assurance.
  • Confidence and poise to work closely with and provide strategic recommendations to senior executives.
  • Familiarity with multimedia tools, such as Emma, Survey Monkey, Mediawiki, Adobe, Webex, Camtasia and Snagit.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Minimum of an active Secret Clearance or Tier 4 Public Trust
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. 

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large human resources organizations or government agencies. 
  • Master’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or related field.
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
  • Capable self-starter with a drive to achieve goals and a high attention to detail.
