Job Summary

Aptive is seeking a Project/Program Manager to lead health-related contracts supporting Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In this position, you will work closely with client stakeholders to deliver strategic planning and operational guidance; support contract management, administration, and resource allocation; and directly supervise contract staff. The Project/Program Manager will oversee day-to-day management of operations and tasks as required by our customers and will be responsible for ensuring quality and timeliness for all work performed.

This position requires strong customer interaction skills, proactivity, strategic thinking, and a demonstrated ability to work with various, senior level stakeholders across multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of contact for the Contracting Office (CO) and Contracting Office Representative (COR)
  • Build and foster relationships with federal clients, teaming partners, and project team members
  • Manage all aspects of the contract(s), including staffing, financial, risk, and quality management
  • Interview, hire, onboard, and oversee staff
  • Conduct quality assurance monitoring and deliverable reviews to help ensure conformance to defined project requirements and maintain team accountability.
  • Develop and maintain contract management deliverables (e.g., program status reports, briefing documents, quality control plans, transition documents, etc.)
  • Oversee teams delivering healthcare administration, data analytics, and related support

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of administrative healthcare management and/or program/project management experience 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification 
  • Experience supporting large healthcare organizations and/or federal agencies
  • Experience managing and directing large, multidisciplinary programs with various workstreams/projects
  • Ability to productively collaborate with a wide range of personality types while meeting assignment demands
  • Confidence and poise to work closely with and provide strategic recommendations to senior executives
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel to client site in Washington, D.C. when needed (potentially 1 day a week)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Favorable Fitness Determination

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in public health, healthcare administration, business administration, or relevant field 
  • Experience supporting DHS
  • Existing Favorable Fitness Determination
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
  • Ability to gather, analyze and present data in easy-to-understand formats
  • Ability to manage and motivate teams
