Aptive is seeking a Senior Communications Specialist to support communications strategies and services for an IT-related federal client. In this position, you will be responsible supporting content creation, executive messaging and communications planning. Tasks may include leading the planning, initiating, executing, and closing out of small- and large-scale communications campaigns supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs.
The candidate must have strong writing, communication and organizational skills. The successful candidate will be proactive with demonstrated success in developing communications and executive messaging strategies while managing multiple, concurrent tasks in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment. The specialist will work directly with senior-level client leadership to develop and execute plans and campaigns. This includes generating strategic recommendations to solve operational challenges, facilitate working sessions with a broad range of stakeholders, and tailoring communications to the audience. Candidate must also have the ability to work and communicate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
This is a full-time hybrid position in Washington, DC.
