Job Summary

Aptive is currently looking for a Director, Service Delivery, to serve as a strategic leader overseeing delivery of a portfolio of health care-related projects within the Veterans Health Account.

Primary Responsibilities

You will be fully accountable for overall management of service delivery, quality, risk, and cost control within a specific portfolio. The candidate will be interacting with key client stakeholders to ensure delivery quality, monitoring and reporting on financial performance, managing resource needs, and maintaining/growing internal and external stakeholder relationships. You will also be responsible for direct reports and project teams, capability groups, and other professional groups as needed and will actively lead recruitment and retention efforts within the account. As a senior leader, you will be expected to serve as a mentor to delivery staff and spend time and effort nurturing a learning culture across the firm.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15 years total relevant experience. At least 8 of those years must be in federal consulting in healthcare solutions delivery.
  • Bachelors degree in relevant area
  • Candidates must have demonstrated ability in:

    • Managing a portfolio of healthcare projects at a federal agency, preferably VA, for successful service delivery
    • Leading the coordination of health care program management, IT platforms and systems, specific tools, and functional knowledge and expertise to operationalize innovative ideas
    • Strategic planning, critical thinking, governance and performance monitoring, guiding the Healthcare Project and Program Management Offices in execution and integration at the enterprise level
    • Successful management of external and internal stakeholders and a clear record of engagement with these groups for service delivery
    • Developing, expanding, and sustaining existing stakeholder relationships to support a strategic goal.
    • Providing clear, concise and timely communication to teams, business lines, stakeholders and professional network including teaming partners, and delivering clear, timely and actionable feedback to staff and direct reports.
    • Leading efforts in team capability development to address skills and proficiencies requirements and addressing staffing gaps with training and recruiting strategies
  • Legal Authorization to work in the U.S.

 

Desired Qualifications

  • PMP certification is strongly preferred
  • Previous experience working withthe VA or VHA
  • Ability to coordinate and direct personnel, lead teams and work independently with minimal guidance or supervision
  • Ability to adapt to various people and working styles under tight deadlines
  • Deep knowledge of industry best practice and the ability to quickly identify, address and incorporate emerging trends into program design
