Job Summary

Aptive Resources is seeking skilled Medical Technologists to support the VA Medical Center in Danville, IL. The successful candidates will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by testing fluid and tissue samples.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and complex laboratory tests on a variety of biological specimens, including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Analyze and interpret test results to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting of laboratory findings.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Adhere to quality control procedures to maintain laboratory standards.
  • Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with medical technology advancements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
  • Graduation from a medical technology program accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACLS).
  • Current certification/registration with the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologist (AMT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Technologist within the past five years.
