Job Summary

Aptive is currently seeking a Contract Administrator to join our growing team in Alexandria, VA.  

 

In this role, you must deal effectively with competing priorities and deadlines and handle multiple tasks. You must possess the ability to work well with others in high-stress high-volume situations, effectively interface with internal functional and program organizations, effectively deal with external customers, and meet the goals/objectives of Aptive lines of business. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work independently to complete cradle-to-grave contracts support for assigned contracts. 
  • Manage diverse set of contracts types spanning Fixed Price, Time and Material to cost type contracts. 
  • Ensure full compliance with contract requirements and continually review contracts for risk or opportunity. 
  • Provide contractual advice support and counsel to management, sales and business operations personnel for all matters related to assigned contracts/proposal. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contracting officers for assigned contracts. 
  • The individual is expected to form relationships with customers to ensure continued and positive customer intimacy. 
  • Support proposals as the contracts point of contact. 
  • In this role the individual will serve as a primary point of contact  for proposal release and submittal, serve as the primary interface with the customer, complete risk reviews, ensure terms and condition compliance, complete proposal compliance checks (color team participation), responsible for completion of any representations and certifications, assist with proposal and pricing strategy, responsible for the contracts volume (to include any OCI Mitigation Plans), and serve as the negotiator for any resultant contract negotiation. 
  • Review and negotiate Teaming Agreements and Non-Disclosure Agreements. 
  • Review contracts for Organizational Conflicts of Interests (OCI), develop OCI Mitigation Plans as appropriate, and participate in the Corporate OCI Screening process. 
  • Responsible for providing advice, counsel, and mitigation regarding any OCI matters to program personnel and for dis-positioning potential OCI's with the customer. 
  • Ensure the contracts system is up-to-date and support general ad hoc reporting and tasking. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/BA
  • At least 3 years expeirence 
  • Past experience with Government contracts. 
  • Knowledge/understanding of GSA Schedules. 
  • Knowledge/understanding of FAR and DFAR. 
  • Ability to travel to local customer sites as required. 
  • Knowledge/understanding of Privacy Act/HIPPA, HHSARS and  Federal Healthcare Contracts

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of military and Veteran populations 
  • Experience supporting large, complex federal agencies; ideally VA or DoD 
  • Experience with Unanet 
  • Experience with Jira Service Desk and/or Jira Work Management  
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills 
  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and work well with others 
  • Ability to communicate thoughts, ideas, and solutions logically both written and orally 
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment 
  • Capable self-starter with a drive to get all types of work done and high attention to detail 
  • Ability to interact and engage with Executive-level stakeholders
