Job Summary

Aptive is seeking a Communications Consultant to join us in supporting our government client.

 

The Communications Consultant will support the lead communications manager and the communications team in developing and disseminating information through specific program offices within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) and the Federal Government to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

Primary Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Change management and crisis communications
  • Digital communications product development (Talking points, newsletters, emails, FAQs, briefing cards)
  • Knowledge management for digital communications platforms
  • Measurement and reporting
  • Multidisciplinary expertise in strategic and operational communications
  • Quality assurance and technical editing
  • Strategic communication campaign plan development

 

Minimum Qualifications

Required Skills:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Public Relations, Political Science, or related field OR equivalent field experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of general experience in communication

Desired Qualifications

Desired Skills:

 

  • Experience with VA, DOD, Congress, or other federal agencies is preferred
  • AP Style and Section 508 Compliance
  • Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) certification or similar industry standard communications professional certification
  • User experience and design experience over various platforms, including: GovDelivery, SharePoint, PowerApps, etc.
