Aptive is seeking high-performing graduate students for the Marketing and Communication Internship Program. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with proven critical thinking, communication, client relationship, and writing skills, eager to learn about federal consulting and federal agencies. In this role, you will experience, firsthand, how to support federal marketing and communication campaigns. You will support writing for high-level clients, research, creative, and media efforts.

 

The day-to-day work will include developing presentations, writing content, performing research and analysis, responding to client requests, providing client meeting support, and more. Excellent communication and time management skills, proficiency with MS Office Suite, and the flexibility to work both independently and within a team environment will be critical to this role’s success.

Primary Responsibilities

Aptive’s Marketing and Communications Interns will gain meaningful, realworld experience in federal consulting and can expect to develop both hard and soft skills by engaging in and/or assisting with many of the following activities:

 

  • Supporting internal creative and media roadshow presentations
  • Assisting with the development of insightful recommendations on marketing campaigns to clients
  • Supporting creative strategy and brainstorming
  • Utilizing critical and analytical thinking skills to inform campaigns
  • Applying industry marketing trends and standards to federal marketing campaigns
  • Supporting executive speaking engagements and thought leadership opportunities
  • Supporting internal Human Experience account processes improvements
  • Ensuring clear communication, organization, and coordination between multiple
    stakeholders.
  • Providing administrative support, event planning, and other ad-hoc tasks as needed.

 

Other Information:

  • Some work may be virtual, but it is preferred that candidates can work in the DC
    Metro area.
  • Anticipated time commitment is at least 20 hours per week.
  • Interns will be compensated commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify for the Marketing and Communications Intern program, the candidate must be currently enrolled and pursuing a graduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related fields at an accredited college or university while participating in the internship.

  • Capable self-starter with a drive to get all types of work done and great attention to detail.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills; demonstrated capability to communicate thoughts, ideas, and solutions logically in any situation.
