Aptive is seeking a Director to lead, manage and scale the proposal development capacity and capability for Aptive’s Bids and Proposals (B&P) team. This leader will be responsible for engaging capture teams to define customer requirements and develop responses that meet execution strategy, schedule and price; proposal planning and resource management; providing just-in-time training and coaching to proposal staff; leading the development of compelling, compliant proposal products; and implementing a repeatable bid and pursuit process across the entire organization. This role requires a collaborative team leader who can effectively work across Aptive’s Accounts, the Business Development and Capture teams and other corporate functional teams, gathering information and leading the production of proposal content under tight deadlines. The Director must be able to proactively engage with key stakeholders and team members to prioritize resources and deliver the highest quality proposals. This candidate will have direct management responsibilities for our Proposal Managers and Technical Writers.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite in Alexandria, VA and remotely.
