Job Summary

Job Title: Board-Certified Radiology Physician Services

Location: Lexington VA Medical Center 1101 Veterans Dr, Lexington, KY 40502

Period of Performance: At least one year

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM EST. On-Site.

  • This role may involve shifts that are not finalized at the time of hire. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility and openness to a broad range of scheduling possibilities.
  • Candidates selected for this role are expected to disclose and coordinate any additional employment to avoid conflicts with assigned shifts.

Primary Responsibilities

1 FTE (2080 hours) Board Certified Nuclear Medicine Physician Services

  • Medical specialist who uses radioactive substances (also known as radiopharmaceuticals or tracers) to diagnose and treat diseases. They work with nuclear medicine technologies, such as positron emission tomography (PET) and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT), to produce detailed images of the inside of the body, helping to detect and assess conditions like cancer, heart disease, and neurological disorders.

Minimum Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Medical degree, Residency training.
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Nuclear Medicine
