Job Summary

Diagnostic Radiologic Technician

Location: VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS) – Multiple Sites
Contract Period: Base Year + Three Option Years
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Hourly Wage: 50.00/hr plus 4.93 for Health and Wellness 

Primary Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, and other radiographic exams.
  • Ensure proper patient positioning and image quality for accurate diagnosis.
  • Operate and maintain radiologic equipment.
  • Follow all radiation safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient records.
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assist in contrast media administration as needed under supervision.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a 24-month diagnostic radiologic technology program from an accredited institution.
  • Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Minimum one year of experience as a diagnostic radiologic technician.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments and handle multiple imaging requests.
