Job Summary

Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS) – Multiple Sites
Contract Period: Base Year + Three Option Years
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Hourly: 50.00/hr plus full time benefits (medical, dental, and vision) 

Primary Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care for dialysis treatments.
  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor and adjust dialysis treatments as needed.
  • Educate patients and families on dialysis care and lifestyle adjustments.
  • Ensure proper infection control and safety measures during dialysis procedures.
  • Document patient care, progress, and treatment adjustments.
  • Work with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in any U.S. state.
  • Minimum one year of dialysis nursing experience.
  • Certification in Nephrology Nursing (CNN or CDN) preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Experience in handling dialysis equipment and troubleshooting treatment complications.
