Job Title: Interventional Radiologist – Temporary Contract Position (1.0 FTE)
Location: James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Bronx, NY
Schedule: Full-time, variable schedule including days, nights, weekends, and federal holidays
Clearance/Status: U.S. Citizenship required; Active medical license in any U.S. state or territory

Position Summary

Arrow ARC Staffing is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Interventional Radiologist to provide high-quality, comprehensive radiologic care to Veterans at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in Bronx, NY. This is a temporary, full-time contract position requiring on-site service delivery within a 24/7 Interventional Radiology department.

Primary Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnostic and interventional radiology services across multiple subspecialties, including:
    • Abdominal/GU
    • Breast Imaging
    • Cardiovascular
    • General
    • Interventional Radiology procedures
    • Musculoskeletal
    • Neuroradiology
  • Deliver timely interpretation and reporting of imaging studies in compliance with VA standards
  • Collaborate with referring physicians and other members of the clinical care team
  • Provide on-call coverage as required for emergency IR procedures
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the VA’s electronic health record (EHR) system

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Diagnostic Radiology and fellowship in Interventional Radiology
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Radiology (American Board of Radiology)
  • Unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state or territory
  • BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Experience working within a hospital-based IR environment
  • Proficiency in interpreting and performing a broad range of IR procedures
  • Must meet all VA-mandated training, credentialing, and onboarding requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior VA or federal healthcare system experience
  • Familiarity with VA EHR systems (e.g., CPRS/Vista or Cerner)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
