Job Summary

Aptive seeks an experienced Analyst to support the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER).

Primary Responsibilities

The Analyst will support key research, administrative and operational functions that enhance the FDA’s regulatory science mission. This role will contribute to the planning, tracking, and documentation of applied research projects and process improvement initiatives. The Analyst will engage across teams to support the implementation of strategic plans, organize data, assist in meeting preparation, and help deliver evidence-based insights that drive decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience supporting federal programs or research initiatives; experience in program evaluation, regulatory analysis, or scientific research support preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Policy, Science, Data Analytics or other related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint; experience with Power Automate and PowerBI highly preferred.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating or tracking deliverables in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to coordinate activities for clinical studies, including the preparation of task documentation and communication with collaborators.
  • Understanding of the clinical research lifecycle and/or FDA regulatory frameworks.
  • Ability to track research project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, and support the submission of required reporting to stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with manuscript development, referencing software (e.g., EndNote), or SOP documentation.
  • Experience assisting in the preparation of project documentation, such as concept papers, meeting summaries, status reports and literature reviews.
  • Experience supporting administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, drafting agendas, capturing action items and distributing follow up communications as well as maintaining centralized project repositories and team dashboards. 
  • Strong interpersonal and written communications skills.
