Job Summary

The Informatics Adoption Pathway (IAP) Community of Practice (CoP) is set to host educational and informational sessions for each market. The Project Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning, monitoring and deployment of these sessions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with each Market Liaison and Project Manager to organize and fully deploy each session. This includes scheduling, logistics, and ensuring all necessary resources are available.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination with presenters. Ensure that each presenter is adequately prepared and has all the necessary information and materials for their session.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of session materials. Work with relevant stakeholders to develop slides, handouts, and any other necessary documentation.
  • Address any questions or open items that arise before, during, and after sessions. Ensure that all follow-up actions are completed promptly and that feedback is collected for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that each session meets the quality standards of the IAP Community of Practice. This includes consistent review and improvement of session content and delivery.
  • Maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including Market Liaisons, PMs, and presenters, to foster a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Generate regular reports on session deployment, attendance, and engagement metrics. Provide insights and recommendations based on these reports to enhance future sessions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Significant experience in establishing CoPs
  • 8 years Project management experience optimizing business and project level process flows
  • Experience running and managing teams with expert level Kanban board or Microsoft Project experience
  • Experience working as a contractor or an employee of VA/VHA, medical facility, or health organization including familiarity with implementing and / or managing an Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with brevity and clarity
  • Experience working in a consulting environment and understanding of client/customer relations
  • Advanced knowledge in available emerging technologies and their application relative to user/customer needs
  • Analysis and application of knowledge to investigate and solution emerging technologies and their application

Desired Qualifications

  • Project Management experience
  • Experience leading successful projects (i.e. successful Community of Practice)
  • Experience working as a contractor or an employee for the VA
  • Ability to work under pressure, coordinate multiple assignments at once, and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • PMP or Procsi Certification
