Job Summary

Job Title: Otolaryngologist

Location: Oklahoma City VA HCS, 921 NE 13th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104

Compensation: $156/hour

Shift Schedule:

  • 1 FTE: General Otolaryngologist, specialized in Sleep Medicine, Rhinology/Sinus/Anterior Skull Base surgeries:
    • Clinic Schedule
      • Tuesday and Friday, every other Wednesday, 0800 to 1630 with 30 minute lunch (unpaid)
    • OR Schedule
      • Monday and Thursday, every other Wednesday, 0700 to 1530 with 30 minute lunch (unpaid)
  • .3 FTE: General Otolaryngologist physician, specialized in Otology:
    • Clinic Schedule
      • Every other Tuesday and Thursday, 0800 to 1630 with 30 minute lunch (unpaid)
    • OR Schedule
      • Every other Wednesday, 0700 to 1530 with 30 minute lunch (unpaid)
  • 1 FTE: General Otolaryngologist, specialized in Head and Neck Oncology surgeries:
    • Clinic Schedule
      • Tuesday and Friday, every other Wednesday, 0800 to 1630 with 30 minute lunch (unpaid)
    • OR Schedule
      • Monday and Thursday, every other Wednesday 0700 to 1530 with 30 minute lunch (unpaid)

Position Description: We are seeking 3 highly skilled Otolaryngologists to join our team. The ideal candidates will provide comprehensive clinical and surgical care in Otolaryngology, ensuring excellence in patient outcomes through operative procedures, postoperative care, and consultative services. This role demands clinical expertise, dedication to patient care, and a commitment to collaborative, multidisciplinary practice.

 

Primary Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities: Clinic and Surgical Care: Contractor physician(s) shall provide clinical Otolaryngology services. Contractor physician(s) shall be present and on time for any scheduled clinics/surgeries as documented by physical presence in the clinic or operating room at the scheduled start time.

  • Operative Services: Contractor physician(s) shall provide comprehensive clinical Otolaryngology services including the full range of ENT Surgical procedures, in accordance with their respective area of specialty. Typical surgical procedures include, but are not limited to:
    • Thyroidectomy
    • Parotidectomy
    • Sinus Surgery
    • Head/Neck cancer removal
    • Pan endoscopy
  • Intraoperative Follow-up: The Contractor physician(s) shall be present in the operating suite for all Otolaryngology procedures.
  • Postoperative Follow-Up. Contractor Physician rounds shall be conducted on postoperative ENT patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) and on the wards. All cases will be discussed in morbidity and mortality conferences, and the contractor physician(s) will provide appropriate information to the COR for inclusion in departmental reports.Contractor physician(s) shall provide consultative services at the patient’s bedside if the patient is not ambulatory and in the clinic setting if the patient is able to report to the outpatient clinic. Procedures shall be scheduled for completion within 30 days of the date of the consult.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Board certified or eligible Otolaryngologist
  • Full and unrestricted physicians license
  • BLS and ACLS certification
