Job Summary

Aptive seeks an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to provide end-to-end project management support for the FDA’s Office of Office of Policy, Legislation, and International Affairs (OPLIA) Strategic Leadership Development Support initiative. This role is critical to ensuring the timely, quality-driven, and coordinated delivery of integrated leadership training, engagement, and strategic planning services.

 

The ideal candidate has FDA experience and has a Project Management Professional certification. They have a strong understanding of leadership development, change management, and stakeholder engagement in public health, regulatory, or policy environments. They have previous experience leading projects and are highly organized and systematic in their project work. They exceed client expectations with high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Strategic thinker with a drive to execute a wide variety of tasks and deliverables with a high attention to detail.
  • Experience managing end-to-end project lifecycles, including planning, resource coordination, scheduling and risk mitigation, experience leading leadership development and/or training programs preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic planning, organizational development, and training program logistics.
  • Understanding of FDA organizational structure and strategic initiatives.
  • Experience developing and maintaining detailed project plans, schedules, and milestone and deliverables tracking.
  • Experience coordinating and facilitating kickoff and other stakeholder meetings and documenting outcomes, including the management of meeting logistics.
  • Adept at supporting the development of internal and external project communications, in alignment with strategic messaging.
  • Must meet U.S. residency requirement (3 of last 5 years) and be eligible for Tier 2Public Trust clearance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience managing complex federal government programs or leadership training initiatives, preferably for FDA.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or other related field.
  • Certification in Project Management (i.e., PMP) required.
  • Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional teams while maintaining excellent written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience interfacing with senior government officials, preferably within FDA or HHS.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and remote collaboration platforms.
