Job Summary

 Aptive seeks an organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support the National Health, Lung, and Blood Institute Program Management Support Services (PMSS) activities.

 

Primary Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide essential coordination and administrative support to complex biomedical and public health research initiatives. You will work closely with project managers, scientific staff, and federal stakeholders. You will be responsible for facilitating program operations, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring tasks are completed on time and in alignment with NHLBI’s mission to improve heart, lung, and blood health worldwide.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in portfolio, program, or project management, preferably for a federal agency. If degree is not in a science-related field, 3+ years of experience must be in a biomedical, pharmaceutical, biotech, academic medical center, or health-related organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in appliable field (e.g., science, public health, business, or project management).
  • Experience with Other Transaction Authorities (OTAs) preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management and collaboration platforms.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting end-to-end project lifecycles, including planning, resource coordination, scheduling and risk mitigation.
  • Experience assisting with agenda development, meeting logistics, meeting minutes, and tracking action items.
  • Adept at identifying, recording, and monitoring project risks and mitigation issues.
  • Experience maintaining and developing program documentation, timelines and supporting financial tracking.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional activities.
  • Experience coordinating communication between stakeholders, including scientific and administration audiences, and coordinating cross-functional work.
