Job Summary

The Project Manager serves as the single point of contact for all contractor activities under the VHA task order, managing communication with the Government, coordinating subject matter expert (SME) support, and ensuring the successful delivery of all contractual requirements. This role requires proven leadership in planning, initiating, executing, and closing out complex programs that align with the mission and strategic objectives of a large healthcare or government organization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the contractor team and the VHA for all matters related to task order performance.
  • Lead and manage a large-scale program comprising multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with the task order’s objectives, timelines, and budget.
  • Plan, initiate, manage, execute, and close programs in support of VHA’s mission and strategic goals.
  • Coordinate and direct the work of SMEs and other contractor personnel to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Monitor and report on program and project performance, including schedules, risks, resources, and financial status.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, agency policies, and applicable regulations.
  • Prepare and deliver milestone status reports, performance briefings, and presentations for VHA leadership.
  • Manage issue resolution, change requests, and project dependencies across multiple workstreams.
  • Promote a collaborative work environment, fostering communication between VHA stakeholders and contractor teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum four (4) years of project/program management experience in a large corporate or government environment.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
  • Demonstrated success managing programs with multiple concurrent projects and a total lifecycle budget and complexity comparable to the VHA task order.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a healthcare, government, or similarly complex environment.
  • Strong skills in project planning, scheduling, risk management, and performance reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level briefings..

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience managing projects in a large healthcare organization, preferably within the Veterans Health Administration or other Federal healthcare agency.
  • Familiarity with Federal acquisition and contracting processes.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms.
