Job Summary

Aptive is seeking support the Mission Daybreak 2.0 contract to support VA’s Office of Suicide Prevention (OSP) and the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Innovation Ecosystem. The program builds on VA’s innovation and human-centered design frameworks to rapidly test, evaluate, and scale solutions that reduce Veteran suicide. Aptive’s team will manage a portfolio of innovation projects, coordinate governance and reporting, deliver evaluation and research insights, plan stakeholder and engagement events, and support the development of scalable training and communications products.

 

Primary Responsibilities

The Program Analyst – Sr. (Research/HCD) leads research and human-centered design (HCD) activities to ensure innovation projects meet real-world needs. This role coordinates interviews, focus groups, and usability testing with Veterans and clinicians. The analyst synthesizes findings into insights that shape pilot designs and support decision-making. They also document and track requirements to ensure that solutions are tested against clear criteria for success. This role requires a balance of research skills, user-centered design expertise, and strong communication to translate findings into actionable products for the program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree.
  • 8 years of experience in program analysis.
  • Strong background in healthcare program evaluation and performance improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to support program reviews and reporting.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience using Human-centered design (HCD) in research and design of innovative products.
  • Experience conducting usability testing and other iterative product development strategies.
  • Familiarity with federal program evaluation frameworks such as RE-AIM and QUERI.
