Job Summary

The Communications Products Specialist Sr serves as a key member of the program team supporting the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Center for Care and Payment Innovation (CCPI). This role is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering strategic communications products that engage stakeholders at all levels, including facility, VISN, VACO leadership, and Congress. The Specialist ensures that all correspondence, reports, media, and outreach materials are accurate, timely, and aligned with program objectives related to Section 105 and 107 pilot programs under the Dole Act.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver executive-level correspondence, briefing materials, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including Congressional reporting.
  • Draft, edit, and coordinate public-facing communications such as press releases, information outputs, and social media messaging.
  • Support the creation and distribution of internal and external communication materials tailored to program initiatives and pilot sites.
  • Coordinate messaging across diverse platforms to ensure alignment with CCPI goals and VA priorities.
  • Maintain communication channels, including designated email accounts, ensuring timely and professional responses to stakeholder inquiries.
  • Collaborate with program managers, analysts, and policy leads to translate data and program updates into clear, audience-appropriate content.
  • Assist in stakeholder engagement activities, including development of stakeholder registries, targeted outreach, and engagement strategy support.
  • Ensure compliance with government communication standards and provide quality control for all deliverables.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in communications, public relations, press/media relations, social media, or advertising.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft executive-level correspondence and manage communications for diverse audiences.
  • Proven experience developing and coordinating communications for government, healthcare, or large-scale organizations; experience with the Veterans Health Administration is preferred.
  • Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and ensure accuracy under pressure.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and communications platforms.

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with value-based healthcare initiatives and health policy communications.
  • Experience supporting Federal government stakeholders and understanding of Congressional reporting requirements.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and effectively coordinate cross-functional teams.
