Position Type: Contract – Full-time (non-personal services contract)
Pay: 23.00/hr plus full time benefits
Shifts: 8 hours between 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Workload may vary due to operational demands, inclement weather, staffing, or emergencies.
Contract staff may be released early if workload is cleared; 40-hour weeks are not guaranteed.
We are seeking Lead Certified Pharmacy Technicians to join the Meds by Mail (MbM) program in Dublin, GA. MbM supports the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Civilian Health and Medical Program (CHAMPVA), Indian Health Services (IHS), Veterans Choice, and other pharmacy benefits management programs. In FY24, MbM processed over 3.75 million prescriptions and is projected to grow by 3–5% annually.
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in prescription order processing, call center triage services, and clerical tasks to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant medication support for Veterans and their families.
Accurately read, interpret, and enter prescriptions.
Communicate with providers, patients, and caregivers to resolve prescription issues.
Process refills, renewal requests, and returned medications per MbM policy.
Operate pharmacy automation, scanning, and data-entry systems.
Support call center operations by triaging patient inquiries.
Identify potential duplicate therapies and escalate to pharmacists.
Maintain compliance with MbM safety and quality reporting protocols.
Lead Responsbilites
Supervise and coordinate daily work of contract staff.
Assist with scheduling, timecard corrections, and administrative recordkeeping.
Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
Ensure compliance with mandatory training and reporting requirements.
Act as the primary liaison between contract staff and MbM management.
Certified by the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) (at onboarding or within 6 months).
At least 6 months’ experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting, OR graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
High school diploma or GED required.
Proficiency with basic typing, PC skills, and pharmacy information systems.
