Job Summary

Aptive is seeking a skilled Program Manager to lead and oversee a government program in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This individual will manage complex program requirements, coordinate diverse technical and administrative teams, and serve as the primary point of contact with government stakeholders. This is a critical leadership role with the opportunity to directly contribute to improving services that impact Veterans nationwide.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day program operations to ensure successful delivery of contractual requirements.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with VA stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and effective relationship management.
  • Develop and manage program schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and performance metrics.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Drive risk management, issue resolution, and continuous process improvements.
  • Prepare and present program updates, reports, and deliverables to government leadership.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and high performance.
  • Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations, policies, and program standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of program/project management experience on federal contracts.
  • Demonstrated success leading large, complex programs with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong background in budget, schedule, and performance management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business, management, or a related discipline.
  • PMP or PMP certification (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs or other healthcare-related federal agencies.
  • Familiarity with federal acquisition processes and compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing geographically dispersed teams and subcontractors.
