Job Summary

Health IT Informatics Analyst II (Data Management)

 

Role Summary Senior data-focused analyst responsible for stakeholder management, requirements, information modeling, and data integrity support across ORIS surge activities.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Provide stakeholder management, requirements gathering, information modeling, process documentation, and liaison tasks required to support the development of clinical informatics software or other clinical informatics project activities.
  • Work independently or under general direction, as well as in a client-facing manner for requirements capture.
  • Serve as EWIMP data governance lead and act as liaison to Tier 0 Field Hubs, Tier 1 SME Teams, and the EHR Executive Council, as needed.
  • Profile data & monitor data-quality metrics via dashboards in Microsoft Purview.
  • Align data practices with VA privacy, HIPAA, and FISMA requirements; support ATO packages.
  • Prepare executive briefings, infographics, and data playbooks to socialize standards.
  • Support ongoing Post-Go-Live efforts and enhancements, and PI Planning cycles.
  • Promote and coordinate adoption of established data governance policies across stakeholders while balancing operational flexibility.
  • Support Interoperability, Data Integrity, and Reporting Support
  • Manage data feeds that populate the Informatics Surge Readiness Index and perform requirements gathering and process documentation for data-related improvements
  • Support analytics that drive prioritization in the Value Stream and ensure data quality for monthly and weekly reporting

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or 6 additional years specialized experience)
  • Minimum 8 years of experience (6 specialized) in requirements elicitation, analysis, and health information systems

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with VA data sources, Federal EHR, or clinical data repositories
  • Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills
  • Familiarity with health information standards (HL7, FHIR, etc.)
