A traffic manager’s main objective is to ensure that all marketing collateral and work flows efficiently and accurately between creative, media and production departments and assets are delivered to vendors. They are responsible for keeping everyone on task and projects on deadline, handling the logistics and keeping all parties updated on the progress. They will manage the flow of work to ensure that ads are completed on time, and secures deadline information from media vendors. Ad traffic managers work closely with members of the media, account management and creative/video teams to ensure that work flows efficiently through the agency from the initial brief to the point where it is released to the media vendors.   Ad traffic managers coordinate the work of many different people inside and outside the agency. They discuss the scope of work, and the creative asset needs with the account management team to prepare a framework for planning workflow. They consult media planners and the recommended vendors to confirm copy dates, ad specs and deadlines for the advertisements and collaborate with the Creative traffic lead to facilitate hand off of specs and receive finalized creative assets. To help control workflow, traffic managers use project management software (JIRA).   The Traffic Lead will collaborate across project, media and creative teams to formalize and establish processes and systems to ensure effective workflow, timeline and deadline management for advertising and media deliverables.   This position requires strong understanding of all types of traditional and digital creative marketing and communication assets, including search, social, display, print, out of home and broadcast advertising. The Traffic Lead should have a deep understanding of specific deliverable requirements and timelines, tracking and classifying versions, revisions and naming conventions.   This full-time position is remote flexible, but will have the option to work on-site work at Aptive in Alexandria.
